Vermouth
Sacred English Amber Vermouth
Country: UK
Alcohol: 21.8%
World’s Best Extra-Dry Vermouth – World Drinks Awards 2019.
Delicate, floral & with a distinct note of Spanish Sweet Orange, this vermouth is now recognised as the closest equivalent to the legendary Kina Lillet in the Vesper Martini (immortalised by Ian Fleming in Casino Royale, 1953). As such, it is served by Alessandro Palazzi of Dukes Bar, SW1, in all of their Vespers, and also works well on the rocks with a lemon twist, or in a more sophisticated take on the classic Spritz.
From the judges of the World Drinks Awards:
“Sweetness on the nose with orange peels and wormwood. On the palate wormwood developing and opening up with sweet spices, orchard fruits. Nice mouthfeel and warming alcohol coming through.”

Carpano Classico Rosso
Country: Italy
Alcohol: 16%
The Carpano Classico Vermouth Rosso is a truly classic vermouth based on Antonio Benedetto Carpano’s original recipe. Its color derives from the 100% natural burnt sugar, which also gives the product an essential aromatic note. Like all Carpano products, this vermouth contains no artificial colors, preservatives or additives.
Tasting Note: Compared to the Antica Formula, the Carpano Classico Rosso has less intense citrus and vanilla notes, giving it a more “robust” character. Its spicy, citrusy notes combine with the typical vermouth notes, giving this classic vermouth its unique smooth taste.
Carpano Bianco

Carpano Bianco has a light yellow color, a fresh and complex aroma and an easily recognizable wine note, in addition to citrus and exotic fruit aromas. Fresh cocoa beans and almonds complete the taste of this delicious vermouth. An initially smooth and velvety feeling on the palate is rounded off by a complex wine note with mineral tones. This vermouth is ideal for refining cocktails. However, you can also enjoy it pure on ice with a slice of grapefruit.
La Quintinye Vermouth Royal Rouge
Country: France
Alcohol: 16.5%
This powerful Rouge Vermouth is based on a very good red wine from southern France. But as is the good old tradition at La Quintinye, this Rouge Vermouth is also made with red Pineau de Charentes . However, it is not just this composition that makes up the unique taste of this La Quintinye Vermouth Royal Rouge, but rather the selection of herbs and spices that are responsible for the opulent aroma profile. La Quintinye fills this exquisite vermouth from France with 16.5% vol. into the 750 ml bottle .
The tasting note for the La Quintinye Vermouth Royal Rouge: With its wonderfully dark colour, this Rougue Vermouth clearly stands out from its two siblings. On the nose, this premium vermouth is characterized by its spicy aroma, which increasingly comes to light with caramel and roasted vanilla. A hint of liquorice and dark pome fruit rounds off the tastefully complex bouquet. Its finish is clearly structured and characterized by a sweet, spicy note.
Punt E Mes
Country: Italy
Alcohol: 16%
While Fernet Branca is a bitter liqueur from the Amado category, Punt e Me is a traditional vermouth from Piedmont. Italian vermouth is dark in color and has a characteristic, slightly bitter to sweet taste. In addition to the main ingredient wormwood, other herbs and spices are used. The brand name can be translated as “a point and a half”. By this they mean that the recipe supposedly relies on half a portion of bitterness and a portion of sweetness. The Punt e Mes vermouth is often used as a substitute for regular red vermouth in cocktails such as Manhattan, Americano, Boulevardier and Negroni. Until 2011, Vermouth was produced by Carpano in Turin before Fratelli Branca took over the brand. Vermouth is most commonly enjoyed as an aperitif, although it shouldn’t necessarily be compared to Campari.
Dolin Dry
Country: France
Alcohol: 17.5%
From 1815 onwards, Joseph Chavasse, the 25-year-old founder of the Dolin Vermouth distillery, cre-ated exceptional aromas from fruits and plants from this special region of France. In Echeles en Savoie, in the French province of Mont Blanc, he worked intensively on these special extractions of the aromas. He was inspired by the aperitifs until 1821 when he offered his own vermouth, the Dolin Vermouth Dry, for tasting. In 1919 the brothers Charles and Joseph Sevez took over the Dolin Vermouth distillery, which is still owned by the family.
Taste: Dolin Vermouth Dry is a characteristic dry vermouth wine from France. His liquor distiller Joseph Chavasse combined the best white wines from the Savoy with wild French alpine herbs. These produce the fresh but dry aromatic taste of wormwood with fine acids. To this day, the wine is one of the classics of the highest quality. It is characterised by its delicate light green colour and its fruity, spicy notes. Its bitter but at the same time sweet taste creates a silky texture on the palate. The Dolin Vermouth Dry captivates with its unobtrusive yet highly aromatic taste. Freshness and elegance are convincing in this velvety soft wormwood, whose recipe is unchanged from the beginning.
Dolin Rouge
Country: France
Alcohol: 16%
Dolin Vermouth de Chambéry Rouge comes from Dolin, a house of the same name, which was founded in 1815 by Joseph Chavasse in the department of Savoie. Joseph Chavasse distilled his liqueur with the extraction of fruits and plants. Later he moved to Chambery and began to marry local Savoy wines with herbs from the nearby mountain region. The Dolin brand in particular goes back to the spouses of a descendant of the founder. As a typical French vermouth, Dolin delights thanks to its dry, full, and fresh character.
Excellent white wines, alpine herbs, spices and essences go together to make this fine vermouth. The red coloration of this Vermouth Rouge is not caused by red wine but by the use of selected plant extracts.
Slightly bitter notes meet highly aromatic and spicy flavours. Fruit compote combines with plum and walnut. Cinnamon, vanilla and Szechuan peppers comprise the heavier notes. On the palate complex notes of almonds, citrus, pear, tobacco, spice cake, and oregano are present.
Carpano Antica Formula
Country: Italy
Alcohol: 16.5%
Carpano Antica Formula has a classic and distinctive aroma. This Italian vermouth brings a unique touch of class to quality cocktails with its inimitable taste. With rich notes of vanilla, this vermouth edges out the competition. Carpano Antica Formula was invented in Turin by Antonio Benedetto Carpano, and to this day the classic vermouth is still produced in the Fratelli Branca Distillery according to the original recipe.
Carpano Antica Formula is made with a blend of white wines, including Piemonte Muscat and rich wines from the South of Italy. The distinctive flavour comes from carefully selected herbs from the Italian mountain regions. But the star of this vermouth is the delicate vanilla which is accompanied by hints of spices and dried fruit such as star anise, orange peel, and dates.
