This is a premium blend that shines an elegant, reddish pale gold in its bottle. Like its relatives, the Plantation Original Dark Rum benefits from the fact that it first rests in its country of origin in ex-bourbon casks from America. It is then shipped to France, where it matures for several months in small cognac barrels in the cellars of Cognac Ferrand. Such a procedure was widely used in the 18th and 19th centuries, but is now rare. It gives the dark blended rum the finishing touch. The aroma and taste of the Plantation Original Dark Rum convince with a mixture of sweetness and spice. Pralines, toffee and exotic spices harmonize with each other, accompanied by a soft, full mouthfeel. After a mild start, the taste develops more strength and richness of nuances.
