Wild Turkey Longbranch was created in collaboration with brand ambassador and movie star Matthew McConaughey. For the charcoal filtering not only American white oak but also wood from the Texan mesquite tree was used. Longbranch thus connects the two states of Kentucky and Texas with Hollywood through the traditional brand Wild Turkey. This is the first bottling that no longer bears the two signatures of Jimmy and Eddie Russell.

Taste: A sweet bouquet upfront with subtle notes of nutmeg and toffee. Spice and a hint of oak provide a sturdy middle, before giving way to a smooth Kentucky Straight Bourbon finish.
Aroma: Caramel, vanilla, toffee with hints of oak.
Finish: A smooth finish with a pop of heat. Caramel trails off into a subtle smoky goodbye.
Process: An 43% ABV small-batch Kentucky Straight Bourbon aged 8 years and refined with American oak and mesquite charcoals.

It was created based on the example of the legendary distiller Basi Hayden, who gave the whiskey its name and who, as a pioneer, combined the production of corn whiskeys with that of rye whiskeys. The Old Grand Dad is one of the ten best-selling bourbons worldwide and is suitable for anyone who wants to try a bourbon outside of the usual sizes.
The Old Grand Dad Whiskey enchants the nose with fruity aromas of apples and dried fruits. A lot of spice and cinnamon come to the fore. Bourbon-typical sweetness spoils the nose.
In terms of taste, the Old Grand Dad Whiskey spoils you mainly with vanilla sweetness. A peppery spiciness contrasts with the bourbon-typical sweetness. Cinnamon and cloves stand out and skillfully round off the taste.
The Old Grand Dad’s finish is long and spicy. Caramel sweetness and roe notes combine and linger in the mouth on the finish.
